For all who celebrate Gilmore Girls Season, you should at least be a season in now of your annual rewatch. And when you get too annoyed with (insert offending Rory boyfriend here), this is the perfect companion read!  Lauren Graham's "Talking as Fast as I can" gives readers a brief glimpse into the actor's Gilmore Girls years and the time before and after Stars Hollow.  I'll admit to being a Gilmore Girls skeptic when the show was at its peak; why were they talking so fast, and who really talks like that?  I just didn't get it. I wasn't ready!  Cut to 20 years later and my Dragonfly Inn keychain.  I recently discovered my coworker Alyssa is a fan of the show so we decided to read Graham's book together. It's safe to say Lorelai's mannerisms and energy feel aligned with Lauren's, both women have a "can do" and laugh-it-off approach to living.  It was a treat to get a peek behind the Hollywood curtain; I loved Graham's constant sarcasm and witticisms regarding the jet set as she appears to be both grounded and not ruined by her success.  If Lorelai has been a frequent presence in your living room, you can't miss this book.
