If you are a fan of Child's work you will not be disappointed with his most recent work. Bouncing between the landscape and ruins of the desert southwest, and the greater world/debate of antiquity dealings and all its grey areas - Child's does a great job of keeping you on the hook in both areas. Having lived in Moab the last 8 years, I was fascinated to learn in greater detail the debacle that happened in Monticello involving a Federal raid of many prominent members of that community, and at the same time, walked away having a more expanced view on the idea of...what is mine, what is yours, what is fair game, etc.
